Specialist- Analytics, Measurement & Insights. Informing news strategy for a global hospitality brand

My client is one of the most respected hospitality companies in the world. Within its wider comms and external affairs department it has created a brand new division focused on global news strategy and insights. And for its first hire, reporting directly into the Vice President, it is looking for someone with expertise in media measurement, data and analytics.

In this specialist role you will work to help champion the use of measurement across the company’s global communications teams. This will include using data and metrics to assess opportunities, provide insights on its press engagement strategies, and demonstrate the team’s results. These efforts will help to ensure that the company’s messaging is breaking through with media in the right ways, to reach team members, owners, guests and other key influencers.

This is a role that will suit someone with a highly analytical mind, and previous experience in media measurement and analytics. A diplomat, a relationship builder, someone who can adapt and work with multiple teams. It also requires first rate written, analytical and editorial capabilities. In return you will get exposure to the very top levels of the company, with primary stakeholders including the Board of directors, the Executive Committee and the wider global senior leadership team.

A key area of focus will be on media measurement, monitoring and reporting, including:
– editorial oversight of the daily global news brief
– managing the weekly insights report
– identifying emerging media trends, outlets and narratives
– supporting the execution of a global approach to measurement for corporate affairs
– supporting delivery of governance for priority hotel openings
