Consumer PR Manager – dynamic, tech-driven, company that is reshaping the property sector

I have a great opportunity for Consumer PR Manager who wants to be part of a dynamic, technology-driven, company that is reimagining and reshaping the property sector.

As part of a small comms team, sitting within a larger and rapidly growing marketing function, you will lead all consumer-facing media activity for this much-loved brand, positioning it at the heart of national conversation about the homes we live in, while supporting its ambition to be the UK’s number one destination for buyers and sellers alike.

The role demands someone with the ability to manage senior internal stakeholders. This is a high-profile role, reporting directly to the Head of Comms, so maturity and professionalism are a must.

With the UK being a nation of property obsessives, there is no shortage of ammunition for consumer PR campaigns. The role requires a pureplay consumer PR expert with a great nose for a story, capable of generating quicker hits, but just as importantly with a hunger to create longer form campaigns, working closely with marketing team. As such you will need to be inherently creative, but also data literate – able to develop campaigns from research and insights.

You will get to work closely with experts across all aspects of the broader marketing mix, including consumer marketing and content, trade and corporate comms team, strategists, creatives and designers.

Key criteria includes:
– someone comfortable displaying the value consumer comms brings to the wider business, articulating why and how the team is making a difference
– a background in property PR would be a bonus but is not a pre requisite. However an interest in property and / or tech is essential
– proven experience of effective media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with key journalists, researching story ideas, identifying media angles and writing compelling press releases
– a natural storyteller with experience of writing compelling narratives that resonate with readers
– a self-starter, who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is results / positive outcomes driven
